Are You Ready for a Hot and Dry Summer?

After a damp and cold spring, Canadians should prepare themselves for a hot and dry summer.

That’s the news according to a recent Environment Canada summer forecast issued June 1st.

“I think given what we’ve had in the spring, which has been cool and wet, this could only be interpreted as a piece of good news for Canadians,” Environment Canada Senior Climatologist David Philips told the Globe and Mail.

The three-month report notes that Ontario should experience a particularly hot and dry summer.

While we all look forward to the summer sun, it’s also a good idea to be prepared for when the temperature gets carried away. Ottawa has already seen temperatures climb above 37ºC with the humidity and you can expect the mercury to return there again before July.
