William Edward Holmes originally established Holmes Heating Inc. in 1962, building the business on the belief that our customers deserve to be treated with the highest degree of integrity and receive the best heating, cooling and indoor air quality products
and services at the most affordable prices.
In 2009, Reliance Comfort Limited Partnership acquired the assets of Holmes Heating and Air Conditioning.
Today, Holmes Heating offers the same commitment to quality service and workmanship, enabling us to become one of the largest and best known HVAC sales and service providers in Ottawa - a proud business serving over 25,000 homes in the National Capital Region, from Almonte to Orleans and Kanata to Kemptville.
Holmes Heating and Air Conditioning is a certified member of HRAC (Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors of Canadaand the Better Business Bureau of Ottawa.
Always Growing and Expanding
Our company continues to grow to serve our customers in new and better ways. Today, our customers have access to a broad suite of essential home comfort products and services. In 2000, we established a new air quality division featuring a wide range of cleaners, filters, humidifiers and ventilators. We now also install whole house humidifiers and ventilation systems and provide duct cleaning services and indoor air quality assessments.
We are centrally located, allowing us to cover all of Ottawa's heating and cooling needs - from Kanata to Orleans and everywhere in between.

Giving Back to the Community
We believe in giving back to the community whenever we can. In the past few years we have sponsored local sports teams in the Nepean Minor Hockey Association, supported the annual CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario) telethon, helped out with Canada Day festivities in Kanata and built four semi-detached homes with Habitat for Humanity. We are also a proud sponsor of the Ottawa Snowsuit Fund and the Walk for Breast Cancer Action.
