Did you know that it costs more to heat dry air than humidified air? Warm dry air acts like a giant sponge, soaking up moisture from everything it touches. Low humidity in your home can also cause static electricity and dry out wood furniture and hardwood flooring. The normal humidity range for human comfort is between 35% and 45% relative humidity. Be sure to change your humidifier pad yearly to prevent surface growth and migration of bacteria and mould spores.
