Correcting Carbon Monoxide Detector Malfunction
back Back

Is your carbon monoxide detector beeping or flashing for no apparent reason? First, try resetting it by taking it outside and then plugging it in again. If it is still acting up, it could mean your sensor is old and needs replacing. Of course, it’s important to keep in mind that your detector could be warning you of a potential carbon monoxide leak. If you’re uncertain whether you have a leak or if it’s just your detector malfunctioning, the best course of action is to immediately leave the premises and call Holmes Heating or your gas provider.
